GAUDENZI OIL MILL

1950

It is 1950 and Vittorio Gaudenzi is 26 years old. The war has just left behind a trail of destruction and poverty and above all, the predominantly rural regions such as Umbria suffer from this crisis climate.

There is so much to do, to rebuild. There is the need to reinvent themselves.

Cipolla Mill

Vittorio sees in this context an opportunity to start over from scratch and together with his brothers he decides to take over the “Cipolla Mill”, an ancient oil mill located on the banks of the river Clitunno. The choice turns out to be a success and within three years the Gaudenzi brothers found an oil mill of their own, acquiring the maximum technology available for the time.

A real pity that Francesco cannot give up.

1994

Hence the choice: in 1994 Francesco quits his job and re-opens the Mill that he still manages with his family. The first label is born and the obsessive search for quality at any cost begins. Both in the olive grove and in the oil mill, cutting-edge techniques are introduced to raise the quality level of the product.

2003

After a first moment of uncertainty, the investments pay off and in 2003 the dream of Francesco and Rossana becomes a reality: the new headquarters is inaugurated, a place where they can welcome customers and where they can transmit all the passion that has brought them there.
A few years later the collaboration with the University of Perugia starts. The Gaudenzi Oil Mill turns into a research centre aimed at developing new extraction techniques in order to increase the quality of the oil and to offer a healthy, genuine and natural product. Meanwhile, Stefano and Andrea also become active members of the mill and give life to a new project that will lead them to plant other olive trees with the aim of increasing the production, safeguarding the typicality of their Mill oil.
