CHARACTERISTICS OF OUR CULTIVARS
Moraiolo is a cultivar that can adapt to the most diverse conditions: drought, wind, low temperature. The only thing it fears is water stagnation. Hilly terrains are its ideal environment; this is why Moraiolo is the main cultivar in the Umbrian hills. It has reduced dimensions, its thick foliage is not too voluminous, and its branches are short and twisted, making handpicking rather complicated. The olives reach their ideal ripeness in late October. Moraiolo has a high fruit production rate and the oil it provides is of excellent quality. Its scent recalls the fruit and its taste has clear bitter and spicy notes.
